Dr. Yong-Hoo Park

Dr. Yong-hoo Park, President of ED Co., graduated from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Seoul National University of Science & Technology in 1976. He earned a doctoral degree in Business Administration from KyungWon University in 2010. Dr. Yong-hoo Park founded ED Company in 1986 and became a world-class educational businessman, dominating the Korean market in educational training systems. ED Company has been at the top of the Asian market and is expanding to focus on other developing countries world-wide. Dr. Park also founded a subsidiary company, HRD Consulting Korea, to provide consulting services for international occupation and training development, and financial services such as EDCF, ADB, and World Bank. Dr. Yong-hoo Park was a board member and later elected one of the most important presidium in Worlddidac Association, Switzerland—a worldwide educational association. Dr. Park’s passion and professional efforts has brought ED Company to the international level, leading the business and manufacturing market with domestic and international sales that provide a wide range of educational training systems and testing/measuring instruments.

In the 1970s, the Korean government began to focus on human resource development and growth of the country which had been devastated by the Korean War. The government focused on the national economy and began programs that would cultivate vocational education and training to develop technical manpower. Dr. Park worked for the Human Resources Development Service of Korea (HRD KOREA) for 20 years. He directed and prepared students to attend the International Vocational Training Competition while he worked for HRD Korea. He has also advised international students from the Vocational Institute and Technology Training Centre.

Dr. Park has made meaningful contributions to provide the Human Resource Development and Vocational Education System to poor counties such as Vocational Training Centers in The Republic of Tanzania on 2007, Niyagama National Vocational Training Centre in The Republic of Sri Lanka on 2008, Creation of Technical Methodological Capabilities in Vocational Training Center in Nicaragua on 2009, and he is working to provide the same system to the Vocational Training Centre in Yemen in 2011.

David Holloman

Mr. Holloman’s professional career has spanned over 15 years and has included multiple executive level positions, and the founding of businesses in the plastics and educational products industries. In 2000, Mr. Holloman co-founded a successful reseller in the plastics industry. This venture was later merged with Waverly Plastics, Waverly, IA, and remains one of Waverly’s most important strategic assets. Following Waverly Plastics, Mr. Holloman was the President of DEPCO, LLC, a national leader in the educational products market. While at DEPCO, Mr. Holloman refocused and changed the business model of the Company allowing it to compete more effectively. Specifically, Mr. Holloman was responsible for new product development, reorganizing the sales force, developing the marketing strategy and brand identity, decreasing fixed and variable expenses and introducing the Company to foreign educational markets. Mr. Holloman has built relationships with education institutions and technical education suppliers all over North America, Malaysia, Taiwan, Germany, South Korea, and the United Kingdom.

Mr. Holloman has served on the National Technical Committee with SkillsUSA (www.skillsusa.org). SkillsUSA is a partnership of students, teachers and industry working together to ensure America has a skilled work force. The organization serves more than 300,000 students and instructors annually; through 13,000 school chapters in 54 state and territorial associations. More than 14,500 instructors and administrators are professional members of SkillsUSA.

Mr. Holloman is the recipient of the “Excellence in Education Innovation” award from the New Mexico Association of Career and Technical Education for his role in developing the Mobile, Specialized Knowledge Industrial Learning Lab (Mobile SKILL). The Mobile Skill lab is 100% a mobile classroom housed within a trailer that can be pulled behind a truck to multiple locations. The Mobile SKILL concept is a cost effective way to provide multiple school systems with a shared, advanced technology and industrial training lab.

With Mr. Holloman’s leadership, Sapience has tremendous experience consulting public and private educational institutions on their individual curriculum and equipment needs. Sapience management has also successfully consulted non-profit companies on large scale purchasing needs relating to stringent government contracts.
